TCM offers Halloween horror movie marathon

Those seeking to spend Halloween watching some terrific old horror films need look no further than Turner Classic Movies.  The commercial free cable television channel is featuring an all day lineup of horror movies from the fifties,Polka Dots Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 Cases, sixties and seventies on October 31.  The marathon begins by reviving the dead at 6 a.m. with 1957s The Curse of Frankenstein and concludes with Roger Corman directing Vincent Price in 1965s The Tomb of Ligeia at 5:00 the following morning.  Check the full listing at tcm.com and be sure to see the movies highlighted below.
The Curse of Frankenstein  this marks the first teaming of well-known horror stars Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.  Produced by Englands Hammer Films, it is also the first Frankenstein picture in color and was shocking for its ample use of very red gore.  It opens with Dr. Frankenstein (Cushing) on death row telling his story to a priest and shows how the experiments of a young boy led to murder,MLB Braves Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 Cases, mutilation and the creation of a monster (Lee).
The Mummy (1959)  reteams director Terence Fisher with Cushing and Lee.  This is the first of several remakes of classic Universal monster pictures co-financed with Hammer films.  It airs at 7:30 a.m.
Dracula:  Prince of Darkness (1965)  Christopher Lee returns as the fanged count in this sequel to Horror of Dracula.  A vacationing foursome purposefully go to an area they are warned to avoid and quickly find murder, the reanimation of the great vampire and all the ensuing horror you might imagine.  It airs at 12:15 p.m.
The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971)  a disfigured Vincent Price plays the organ, dons disguises, and brings horrible death as the title character.   Phibes uses the Bibles nine plagues to fashion the murders of the doctors he blames for his wifes death.  Surprisingly, Joseph Cotton co-stars in this truly bizarre film with one of the strangest endings you will ever see.  Catch it at 1:00 a.m.
